Ana Ivanovic fist pumping

Ana Ivanovic has gone a year without winning a major championship but early this month the Serbian tennis-pro-cum-beauty has beaten big names like Victoria Azarenka, Elena Dementieva, and Nadia Petrova. Ivanovic acknowledges that she's faced her worst fear in experiencing her playing slump and is ready to begin the climb back up the rankings. Her beauty continues to draw as much international attention as her tennis; Ana Ivanovic posed for this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition along with many other female athletes. But after her second round exit in the French Open, Ana Ivanovic haters are out with their knives, claiming that she's awful, out of form, and arrogant.

She also has a running feud with compatriot Jelena Jankovic, who mocks her constant fist pumping during a game. "Every player has their way of motivating themselves and pumping themselves up. But I don't think it's nice to put the fist in their face. That's what can be a little irritating. Especially not after winning a point because your opponent missed an easy ball, I don't think it's fair play. If I win a point or something, I don't go like that in your face," said Jankovic, holding up her fists.



I don't think Ana Ivanovic's fist pumping is distracting, unless you have a thing for her, and are drawn to watching her amazing body (and her underwear)! As for being out of form, people should remember that many other female tennis stars have been performing poorly. Last year's French Open champion, Svetlana Kuznetsova, lost to Russian compatriot Maria Kirilenko. Dinara Safina also crashed out, as did Venus Williams and Maria Sharapova. Jankovic has been angry with Ivanovic because she did not turn up for the Federation Cup relegation showdown with Slovakia, which the latter won 3-2.
