Early this year Anna Rawson got into trouble when in an interview she talked of the lack of media coverage for ladies golf: "They still think we're like 25 years ago, you know, when the tour was full of dykes and unattractive females nobody wanted to watch. It's totally changed, but they still won't give us TV time."
Meanwhile adding to Australia's list of finest golf courses is the Nullarbor Links, which will host its inaugural tournament on October 22. At 1,365 kilometres, spanning two time zones, it is the longest gold course in the world. Each hole will showcase a local attraction, from whale-watching to ancient fossil beds and a working sheep station, and golfers will drive on to the next tee -- 100 kilometres down the road in some cases. The par-71 course will take three or four days to complete with each player awarded a certificate.
