Marko Jaric cleared

Basketball player Marko Jaric was cleared of sexual assault charges last week. A Philadelphia woman had alleged that the incident occured on February 11 when Marko Jaric's team, the Memphis Grizzlies played the Philadelphia 76ers, in the city.

But the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office has cleared Jaric of any wrongdoing saying that "the allegations lack prosecutorial merit."

"Of course, I'm surprised by all of this. I did nothing wrong," said Jaric who was never arrested following the charge but hired an attorney to represent him. "But I also know it happens a lot to professional athletes. We definitely have to be careful out there."
