NFL final four

The final four football teams vying for Super Bowl XLIII are the Philadelphia Eagles, the Arizona Cardinals, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. "It's big," Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. "The last time we were here (for the AFC title game) my rookie year, I didn't play so well, so I'll be looking for a little redemption. It's going to be a great battle."

Big Ben was referring to the fact that the Steelers will be playing the Ravens at home.....and the Steelers have the unfortunate record of losing more conference championship games at home during the 1994-2004 seasons than any other NFL team. However the Steelers have defeated the Ravens twice, 23-20 in overtime the first time and 13-9 in Baltimore in Week 15. That victory got them the division title and a first-round bye. And for more consolation: Las Vegas oddsmakers have picked the Pittsburgh Steelers as favoritesd to win the Super Bowl!

The Arizona Cardinals have many firsts this season; they hosted their first NFL playoff game at home in 60 years early this month. And now after the Philadelphia Eagles beat Giants the Cardinals will host them to an NFC title game for the first time in their history. The Eagles had earlier beaten the Cardinals 48-20 on Thanksgiving night in Philadelphia.

But history is on the side of the Arizona team; the last time the Cardinals won the cahmpionships was back in 1947, with a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. These games will take place on Sunday while Super Bowl XLIII is scheduled for February 1, in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Will the Eagles make it to the Super Bowl? And more importantly will it be warm enough in Tampa for the Philly cheerleaders to wear this uniform?
