Manchester United unstoppable

Club world champions, as well as English and European champions, Manchester United are simply unstoppable. With their victory over Everton, Man U are five points ahed of rivals Liverpool and Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League table. During the course of the match United goalkeeper, 38-year-old Edwin van der Sar from Holland, set a new English league record for most minutes (1,121 minutes of consecutive football matches) without conceding a goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo scores from the penalty spot as Manchester United beat Everton 1-0 on Saturday.
In other premier league news Aston Villa were held to a goalless draw by Wigan. Arsenal were also held to a 0-0 stalemate in a London derby with West Ham. At the other end of the table, ten-man Stoke climbed out of the bottom three with a 1-0 win at home to cash-rich Manchester City. West Brom remained bottom despite twice coming from behind in a 2-2 draw with Hull City.
